Version 24.1.0—January 2025
What's new in this release?
- Interpreter Framework – integration with Voyce
- This release supports the framework that allows integration with interpretation partners.
- This feature allows users to invite interpreters to the call using a familiar workflow.
- The user has the option to search for languages and mark favorite languages.
- The integration provides real-time feedback throughout the invite journey highlighting the language selected, the gender selected, and the estimated wait time. The wait times are provided directly by the integration partner to ensure accurate updates in real-time.
- This feature not work with rooms that are protected with a PIN due to a core security feature.
- This feature is available for logged-in users and auto-provisioned users.
- This feature requires a subscription with Voyce. Please reach out to your Vidyo account manager to enable this for your organization.
- Access to background effects from in-call menu and pre-call beauty screen
- We have added the option to add background effects to outgoing video directly in the conference screen.
- Users can now access these by clicking the ^ next to the camera icon.
- We have also added similar functionality to the pre-call beauty screen.
- Text labels for in-call UI elements
- We’ve added text labels to our key on-screen UI elements in a call.
- This is done to further enhance accessibility and ease of use.
- Updated video tutorials for granting camera and microphone permissions
- We have updated the tutorial videos that guide users on how to grant browser permissions.
- These are done to reflect the UI/UX changes in the browsers in recent years.
