What's new in this release?
- Breakout rooms
- The new breakout rooms feature enables the call moderator to separate the call participants into smaller groups. This feature is especially useful in situations where there are privacy concerns but call participants still need to speak openly. For example:
- In a medical environment, a doctor may want to talk to a patient in one breakout room and consult with other medical professionals in another room.
- In a judicial environment, an attorney may want to discuss a case with a defendant in one breakout room and with judicial assistants in another room.
- Mobile users of breakout rooms have two main roles: moderators (room owners) and participants (non-moderators).
- Moderators:
- Can see if they have breakout rooms in their personal and public rooms.
- Can view the breakout rooms, but cannot create, delete, or modify them using the mobile app.
- Cannot move participants between breakout rooms using the mobile application.
- Must log into their account on the VidyoConnect desktop app to make changes. Because moderator controls aren’t supported on the mobile app, you ` to perform certain functions such as moving participants between rooms, responding to requests from participants, etc.
- Participants:
- Can be moved to breakout rooms only if they're on this latest version of the mobile app.
- Can request help from the moderator using the Request help button on the in-call toolbar.
- To use the breakout room feature, you must have VidyoPortal version 23.1.0 or later as well as VidyoConnect for Desktop version 23.1.0 or later.
- Participants on VidyoConnect for Mobile versions older than 23.1.0 can join conferences, but they cannot be moved to breakout rooms, request help, or receive broadcast messages. The moderator is made aware of this fact so they can communicate accordingly.
- This feature is not yet compatible with VidyoConnect Room or VidyoRoom.

We fixed the random audio issues on certain iOS devices (such as 6th generation iPads) where audio was not sent. If this occurs, mute and unmute your microphone, or exit and then rejoin the call. Both workarounds should fix the audio issue. |

An issue where some iOS devices could not connect to the portal when using a SAML login has been fixed. |
