VidyoConnect for Desktop version 19.4.2 - resolved issues

Key

Summary

NEP-13110

Enghouse Vidyo fixed a sporadic issue where some incoming direct calls on VidyoConnect desktop version 19.3.1 would fail to play the incoming call ringtone on Windows 10 computers.

NEP-13108

An issue was corrected where sometimes a VidyoConnect desktop two participant direct call was not dropped when the caller exited. The remaining user was then unable to leave this state to receive another incoming call.

NEP-13107

Enghouse Vidyo resolved an issue in the “Changing Your Default Tab Selection Upon Application Launch” feature from the last release (19.4.1). A system admin using a .msi deployment can now specify the default tab by passing the DEFAULTTAB argument with one of these values: [Meetings|Contacts|Rooms|Dialout]. For example, when setting the default tab to Contacts, the VidyoConnect desktop application will open in the Contacts tab. Once an admin specifies the default tab, a user will not be able to change it.

NEP-12988

Enghouse Vidyo fixed an issue for certain Windows 10 customers so now the screensaver will correctly exit when an incoming call is received. This issue occurred only for customers who met both of the following criteria:

  • The screensavers on their computers were set to ‘enabled’ with Windows user authentication not required on screensaver exit.
  • The auto-answer feature in their VidyoConnect desktop application was set to ‘on’.

NEP-13052

Digitally signed utility executables are now used for Microsoft Outlook integration and are also used in the VidyoConnect upgrade process. These utilities include:

  • VidyoNeoOutLookPluginReg.exe
  • VidyoNeoOutLookPluginReg64.exe
  • VidyoNeoOutlookPluginSrv.exe
  • VidyoConnectMailCompanion.exe
  • findproc.exe
  • findproc_x64.exe
  • Findproc_x86.exe

Prior to this release, this issue could have prevented Outlook integration and/or upgrades to complete successfully in environments that blocked running un-signed executables using group policy.
