Version 3.3.22

What's new in this release?

  • VidyoRemote 3 enhancements
  • We’ve continued to make the UI for the VidyoRemote 3 for Android and VidyoRemote 3 for iOS apps more intuitive and easier to use.
  • We’ve added the button which enables you to make shared content full-screen on your VidyoRoom system.
  • To provide you with more details about the functions of certain buttons, we’ve added informative labels. For example, the “Swap Displays” and “Self-View” buttons now have labels, and a new label for the pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) buttons reminds you that they work with “Adjustable Cameras Only”.
  • Preconfigured Splunk settings
  • This release makes it a lot faster and easier to use the Splunk Forwarder feature. If your organization is using a Vidyo-hosted Splunk server, Vidyo now automatically populates the default values for that server.
  • All you have to do to start using the Splunk Forwarder is enter the Index and Hostname. You can also modify the default values if you want to do so.
  • Additional remote control APIs
  • The new Camera.x.Select API enables the admin to select the camera, whereas the Share.x.LocalContentPreview enables the selection of the content share device.
  • New content share device for Healthcare
  • If you’re a healthcare provider, you’ll be happy to hear that you can now use the JEDMED Horus HD Digital Scope System – Series 2 as a content share device with your VidyoRoom system.
  • While using Horus Scope as a content share device, you can concurrently use another camera as the video source.
  • Important bug fixes
  • In this release, we've addressed some important issues to improve usability and reliability.
  • System updates
  • For added security and stability, updates for multiple third-party packages and libraries are included as part of this release.

Key

Summary

GS-4150

VidyoRoom volume bars now sync with Revolabs UC 500 volume buttons.

GS-4149

When a VidyoRoom SE is rebooted, it no longer resets any connected Phoenix devices to their defaults; therefore, it now retains any advanced Phoenix audio settings that were set by the user.

GS-4088

When an upgrade is performed via the portal, an extra VidyoRoom.log file of 0 bytes is no longer created.

Please note that this fix pertains to upgrades from version 3.3.21-B and later. Therefore, upgrades from 3.3.21-A, 3.3.20, 3.3.19, and earlier will still experience this issue.

GS-4086

When a VidyoRoom system wakes from sleep mode because a dialog box appears indicating that an update is available, the VidyoRoom no longer erroneously begins searching for contacts.

GS-4085

A system reboot now automatically takes place to fix a rare issue where the application got stuck on camera or audio start.

GS-4011

When using an HD-40 Rev A or an HD-100 Rev 4A with a Prolific USB-to-serial adapter, camera control continues to work normally regardless of which USB port the adapter is plugged into.

GS-4000

The Vidyo calendar integration feature no longer mistakenly recognizes WebEx and GoToMeeting links as Vidyo conference links.

GS-3996

A memory leak in Intel's igfxtary.exe process that resulted in black video no longer occurs for HD-40 Rev A VidyoRoom systems.

GS-3994

A recommendation from Sony was implemented in order to deter a loss of camera control issue that occurred with Sony cameras.

GS-3989

If a second camera is directly connected to a VidyoRoom SE or VidyoRoom system, the second camera is now available to be used to as a content share device.

GS-3981

Users can now join conferences when a commit is being performed.

GS-3975

Microsoft Office 365 users who use the Calendar Integration feature no longer receive the "You have exceeded the available subscriptions for your account. Remove unnecessary subscriptions and try your request again" message.

GS-3907

Occasionally, the Phoenix Smart Spider firmware does not upgrade when connected to a VidyoRoom system through a hub if there is a bad Ethernet cable or if the cable is plugged in after the hub is already powered on.

Workaround: When performing a firmware upgrade, ensure that the Ethernet cable connecting the Phoenix Smart Spider is working properly and do not plug the cable in or out after the hub is already powered on.

GS-3815

Calendar integration now works correctly after a time change (such as Daylight Saving Time) occurs.

GS-1448

VidyoRoom systems can now be managed from the VidyoPortal if settings are changed from the on-screen UI or if a new network is selected by disconnecting the network cable.
