What's new in this release?

  • Breakout room support
  • The new breakout rooms feature enables the call moderator to separate the call participants into smaller groups. This feature is especially useful in situations where there are privacy concerns but call participants still need to speak openly. For example:
  • In a medical environment, a doctor may want to talk to a patient in one breakout room and consult with other medical professionals in another room.
  • In a judicial environment, an attorney may want to discuss a case with a defendant in one breakout room and with judicial assistants in another room.
  • VidyoConnect Room users of breakout rooms have participant (non-moderator) roles:
  • Participants can be moved to breakout rooms, request help from the moderator, and receive broadcast messages from the moderator, but only if they’re on this latest version of the VidyoConnect Room.

    • Note

    To use breakout rooms, you must have VidyoPortal version 23.1.1 or later as well as VidyoConnect for Desktop version 23.1.0 or later.

    Participants on VidyoConnect Room versions older than 23.2.0 can join conferences, but they cannot be moved to breakout rooms. The moderator is made aware of this fact so they can communicate accordingly.
  • Far End Camera Control (FECC) support added for USB cameras
  • You can now use these USB cameras with your VidyoConnect Room:
  • Logitech Rally Bar
  • BZB Gear MoveSE
  • OpenSSL update
  • This release includes a major update of the OpenSSL libraries to version 3.0.10.
  • LIBSRTP update
  • This release includes a minor update of the SRTP libraries to version 1.6.0.
  • Wt update
  • This release includes a minor update of the Wt libraries to version 3.7.1 compiled with OpenSSL 3.0.10.
