Version 19.3.0
What's new in this release?
- VidyoRoom version 19.3.0 software edition (SE) updates
- This release has major updates for VidyoRoom Software Edition (SE) and minor updates for VidyoRoom hardware endpoints. Note: There are compatibility issues for specific hardware endpoints that should not upgrade to 19.3.0 (HD-3 Pro and HD-230 Revision A or B with dual port Dextera cards).
- Windows 10 Support for VidyoRoom SE
- Support for Microsoft Windows 10 has been added to version 19.3.0 of VidyoRoom SE.
- For more details, refer to version 19.3.0 of the VidyoRoom Deployment Guide in the VidyoRoom and VidyoPanorama 600 Administrator Guides and VidyoRoom SE Deployment Guides article.
- Ability to select the application mode
- When running Windows 10, you can now use the Admin UI Settings tab to set the application mode to either Kiosk or Appliance:
- Kiosk mode prevents the VidyoRoom application from modifying the OS and allows users to exit the app from the OnScreen UI. This mode is the default.
- Appliance mode locks down the system by preventing Windows updates from automatically occurring, disables certain Windows notifications, creates inbound firewall rules for sharing, disables some special keys on the keyboard, hides the Task Bar, and more.
- For more information about setting the Kiosk and Appliance modes, refer to the Admin UI: Using the Login and Settings Tabs article or to version 19.3.0 of the VidyoRoom Administrator Guide in the VidyoRoom and VidyoPanorama 600 Administrator Guides and VidyoRoom SE Deployment Guides article.
- UI changes When running VidyoRoom SE on Windows 10
- The OS version now displays instead of the image version on the admin UI about tab, on the onScreen UI about page, and in the log file.
- The "Update" section of the admin UI Firmware tab now displays only the current VidyoRoom SE version and the OS version.
- Some admin UI functionality is no longer available including the following:
- Splunk forwarder options
- Ability to shut down the system
- Option to upload a new image file
- Ability to restore to the factory image
- Updated Security for the admin UI
- The admin UI now generates a self-signed certificate, thereby enabling it to work more securely with VidyoRoom SE installers.
- Remote Control APIs for Obtaining Room and Camera Modes
- The Status.RoomSystem.Properties API obtains the room mode, kiosk or appliance: VidyoRoom SE Windows 10 only.
- The Status.CameraMode API obtains the camera IR mode, auto or daylight: VidyoRoom SE Windows 10 only.
- Icon updates for VidyoRoom (VidyoRoom SE and VidyoRoom endpoints)
- The Lecture Mode icon color was changed from white to green to align with other the icon color schemes in the app.
- The VidyoRoom Contents Share icon was changed to match the VidyoConnect endpoints.
- Since the VidyoRoom system must be connected to a secure Portal by default; there is no need to display the Show Unlock icon which previously displayed as red. Additionally, the Show Lock/Secure icon will no longer display.
- VidyoRoom version 19.3.0 hardware endpoint updates
- Additional graphics card support for HD-3 Revision B
- The VidyoRoom HD-3B supports a new P100 NVIDIA graphics card.
- API for sorting tiles by name
- The SortTilesByName API sorts participants in alphabetical order within the same display. The syntax for the Sort Tiles By Name request is Request set SortTilesByName (yes or no). Note: If you are based in Turkey, enter “tr-TR” after the “yes”.
- VidyoRoom version compatibility issues for using HD-3 Pro and HD-230 Revision A or B with a dual-port Dextera card
- Your system may not work correctly if you use VidyoRoom HD-3 Pro (China only) or VidyoRoom HD-230 Revision A or B with a dual port Dextera card and you upgrade to VidyoRoom version 19.3.0. For more information, click here.

Key |
Summary |
GS-5452 |
The microphone and speaker icons now display at all times during a call if the microphone or speaker icons were previously missing. |
GS-5378 |
VidyoRoom systems will display the current tile size and will not force the VidyoRouter to switch to larger resolutions. By doing so, less downlink bandwidth is used. |
GS-5340 |
Enghouse Vidyo corrected an issue so HD-2 systems can successfully update the vimage file to the most recent version. |
GS-5093 |
The VidyoRoom SE application will restart automatically if it crashes due to an unknown reason. |
GS-5059 |
If the VidyoRoom SE is not installed with Administrator privileges, some of the functionalities may not be available, and therefore, a warning pop-up will display in the Admin UI. |
GS-5030 |
Enghouse Vidyo fixed an issue so an Assertion failed error will no longer display when an Horus Scope device is unplugged (while sharing and with an Inogeni device connected). |
GS-5003 |
When using the hot keys (CTR+SHIFT+U) to enable the Supersensitive feature during a call, the Supersensitive icon will be remain on if a Phoenix device is unplugged and then plugged back in. |
GS-5000 |
If the Remote Control API is enabled or disabled from the Admin UI, an application restart is mandatory in order for this change to take effect. |
GS-4998 |
Enghouse Vidyo corrected a crash issue that occurred on a subsequent call after enabling, disabling, and re-enabling a stethoscope on an initial call. |
GS-4990 |
The grey Content Share icon displays correctly when the Horus Scope and Content Share devices are connected/shared. Previously the grey Content Share icon would display incorrectly on the next call after the Content Share device was disconnected from the prior call. |
GS-4989 |
To improve usability, the rectangular Computer icon that displayed on tiles next to the Local Content label was removed. Icons will still display in the top corner to indicate whether the contents are shared in a conference. |
GS-4987 |
When the Inogeni (content share device) and the Horus Scope are connected to a VidyoRoom system, the content share device will no longer get deselected if the Horus Scope preview is in an idle state (Ctrl+Shift+H). |
GS-4986 |
Enghouse Vidyo corrected an issue so that the system will return to the On Screen UI rather than displaying the Preview Local Content screen (Inogeni). Previously when a call was disconnected after the Preview Local Content is enabled (Inogeni) when sharing an Horus Scope with a single VidyoRoom screen, the system incorrectly displayed the Preview Local Content screen. |
GS-4985 |
Enghouse Vidyo fixed an issue where the Horus Scope icon will remain on the screen even if the user plugs in or out and/or selects or deselects the Inogeni Content Share. |
GS-4984 |
Enghouse Vidyo fixed an issue so the Share device will be in focus when in an idle state (e.g., using hot keys Ctrl+Shift+P and Ctrl+H). |
GS-4982 |
The hot keys, Ctrl+Shift+H, in an idle state now work correctly instead of displaying a black screen for single-screen VidyoRoom systems. |
GS-4950 |
In the VidyoRoom system, the Lecture Mode icon color was changed from white to green to align with other the icon color schemes. Also, the VidyoRoom Contents Share icon image and color scheme matches exactly with the Contents Share icon that displays in VidyoConnect endpoints and Iron Bow's vCLINiC. The VidyoRoom system must be connected to a secure Portal by default; therefore, there is no need to display the Show Unlock icon which previously displayed as red. Additionally, the Show Lock/Secure icon will no longer display. |
GS-4948 |
When upgrading the VidyoRoom application from the Admin UI or from the portal, the system now restarts only the application and no longer reboots the PC. |
GS-4903 |
The Stethoscope hot key (Ctrl+Shift+S) now works the first time it is used even when the previous call was disconnected while the stethoscope was active. |
