Version 19.2.0
What's new in this release?
- New support:
- OPUS audio codec
- Stethoscope integration with VidyoConnect for Desktop
- AES-256 bit media encryption
- To improve security and to comply with industry standards, Enghouse Vidyo endpoints and routers are now supported by AES 256-bit encryption instead of AES 128.
- New peripherals
- Marshall Electronics CV610-U3-V2 Camera (Far End Camera Control (FECC)) for VidyoRoom model: HD-2
- Any digital stethoscope with a 3.5 mm line input (for example: JEDMED Omni Scope)
- Hand-held HD digital Horus Scope
- For a complete list of recommended and supported peripherals, refer to the Recommended and Supported Peripherals for VidyoRoom Systems article.
- To enable the stethoscope or the hand-held video system, refer to the Admin UI: Using the Login and Settings Tabs article.
- Healthcare shortcut keys
- VidyoRoom now has five new healthcare features which are mapped and invoked through the following keyboard shortcuts. Please refer to the table below for more detailed descriptions of these features.
- Camera Infra-Red Operation Toggle (Daylight/Auto) - Ctrl+Shift+D
- Select Stethoscope - Ctrl+Shift+S
- Select Horus Scope as Content Source (JEDMED Horus HD Digital Scope System) - Ctrl+Shift+H
- Select Primary Content Source (INOGENI) - Ctrl+Shift+P
- Toggle Super Sensitive Mode - Ctrl+Shift+U
- Enable voice processing in Admin UI
- If your VidyoRoom audio device needs external voice processing you can now 'Enable Voice Processing' from the Admin UI. If you upgrade to version 19.2, first test your audio quality. Then, if you have a audio quality issue, you can select this option. Next, determine the correct setting for "Enable Voice Processing", and then test the audio device with this new setting. (In most scenarios, you do not need to “Enable Voice Processing” in the Admin UI).
- When upgrading to version 19.2.0, the system will no longer display the “Enable Audio Processing” checkbox; however, the system will automatically save your last settings in the configuration file as enabled (checkbox selected) or disabled (checkbox not selected).
- VidyoRoom versions 3.3.x and earlier will only display the “Enable Audio Processing” checkbox and not the “Enable Voice Processing” checkbox.
- For more information on 'Enable Voice Processing', refer to the Admin UI: Using the Login and Settings Tabs article.
- Unique encryption code for file: config.xml
- For versions 19.2.0 and later, a config.xml file is written with a unique code.
- VidyoRoom version 19.2.0 and later will no longer release a 32-bit version of the VidyoRoom installer and the Panorama Installer.
- Important bug fixes
- In this release, we've addressed some important issues to improve usability and reliability.
- System updates
- For added security and stability, updates for multiple third-party packages and libraries are included as part of this release.
Healthcare features
Feature | Description | Keyboard shortcut |
Camera infra-red operation toggle (Daylight/Auto) |
Camera infra-red operation has two states: State #1: Default: Daylight and State State #2: Auto. When you click the infra-red button the Preview (self-view) will display the infra-red icon either as Daylight or Auto and you can toggle between modes for up to 15 seconds. If the system is in a call, the IR mode will display on its own without the Preview.
NOTE: This will only work with infra-red supported cameras such as the VDO360 Camera. |
Ctrl+Shift+D |
Stethoscope |
Connect any digital stethoscope to VidyoRoom, for example a JEDMED Omni Scope to the ATR2USB dongle (3.5 mm line input) and it will automatically be enabled in the Admin UI.
NOTE: Blue tooth option is not available in this release. |
Ctrl+Shift+S |
Stethoscope Control from VidyoConnect for desktop endpoints
|
You can now remotely control a stethoscope in a VidyoRoom system using the VidyoConnect for desktop application. For more information, refer to the Using the VidyoConnect Digital Stethoscope Feature article. |

Horus Scope as Content Source |
The JEDMED Horus Scope is the only HD digital Horus Scope used for capturing images of the body for any VidyoRoom system.
In the Admin UI, you will need to enable the scope by selecting "Enable Horus Scope Operation".
The JEDMED Horus Scope will not show in the camera list or in the share and instead will display in a call on first click of the Horus Scope button. If you click the Horus Scope button again, the device output will no longer display in the call window. |
Ctrl+Shift+H |
Primary Content Source (for example: INOGENI)
|
You can change your content share device between the INOGENI and Horus scope. |
Ctrl+Shift+P |
Toggle Super Sensitive mode |
If you set "Remember Last Mode" in the Admin UI, the next call will start with the last user setting. If "Remember Last Mode" is disabled, all new calls start with the super-sensitive mode disabled.
You will need to enable the super sensitive feature to ON when you are in a call. However, in the Admin UI, the super-sensitive feature can be enabled/disabled while in call and while in idle state.
If enabled from the Admin UI with the default option (do not remember from call to call) it will have no effect on calls, but using the shortcut key the user can enable/disable on a per call basis.
If the feature is turned off from Admin UI, it cannot be enabled/disabled from the shortcut keys. You can now enable/disable super sensitive mode for a MT107 audio device. |
