Version 23.1.0

What's new in this release?

  • Breakout rooms
  • The new breakout rooms feature enables the call moderator to separate the call participants into smaller groups. This feature is especially useful in situations where there are privacy concerns but call participants still need to speak openly. For example:
  • In a medical environment, a doctor may want to talk to a patient in one breakout room and consult with other medical professionals in another room.
  • In a judicial environment, an attorney may want to discuss a case with a defendant in one breakout room and with judicial assistants in another room.
  • For on-premise customers, in order to use the breakout room feature, you must upgrade the following components:
  • VidyoPortal 23.1.1
  • VidyoRouter 23.1.1
  • Vidyo Event Service 23.1.0
  • VidyoGateway 23.1.0
  • The feature is then enabled for each Tenant via the REST Configuration API. See the VidyoPlatform Web Services API Guide for more information.
Note: For VidyoCloud customers, this feature will be automatically enabled when your cloud environment gets updated.

  • System updates
  • For added security and stability, updates for multiple third-party packages and libraries are included as part of this release.

When accepting client connections under load, duplicate endpoints may be returned. These endpoints will have different (usually sequential) file descriptors but will refer to the same connection (same server IP, same server port, same client IP, same client port). Both copies of the endpoint appear to be functional.
