Enghouse Vidyo is happy to announce that Native WebRTC is now available for all customers.
This release is compatible with both VidyoConnect for Native WebRTC and VidyoClient JavaScript SDK for WebRTC.
Royalty-free codec support
VidyoPortal and VidyoRouter version 22.1.1 includes support for royalty-free codec applications. This specifically includes:
VidyoConnect for Desktop 22.1.0 and later.
VidyoClient 22.1.0 and later.
This feature allows for seamless switching between H.264 and VP9 codecs dynamically, thereby preserving backwards compatibility for older versions of VidyoConnect and VidyoClient.
VP9 gets automatically set up when you upgrade to this version.
Minimum endpoint version
The minimum endpoint version feature allows Administrators to reject endpoints based on the following criteria:
ApplicationName
EndpointType
This feature can be configured at a System or Tenant level via REST APIs.
Vidyo Compatibility Matrix updates
We've made some significant updates to the Vidyo Compatibility Matrix in accordance with this release of the VidyoPortal.
