Background blur and virtual backgrounds for WebRTC
We are extending our blur and virtual background feature to WebRTC.
As a WebRTC user, you will now be able to blur your backgrounds and use one of our seven specially curated virtual backgrounds to help you transform any background into a professional workspace.
Keyboard shortcuts
In an effort to further enhance our dedication to accessibility and ease of access, we’re introducing keyboard shortcuts to VidyoConnect for WebRTC. This feature helps you access frequently used features without having to reach for your mouse.
With keyboard shortcuts, we’re introducing a push-to-talk feature so you can use a convenient shortcut to quickly unmute your mic, speak, and re-mute—all with one simple action.

Peer-to-peer communication
We’re enabling peer-to-peer communication for our WebRTC client. This addition leverages our VidyoClient P2P communication feature which was released in VidyoClient version 22.6.0.
Peer-to-peer communication allows for faster connection times and overall more efficient routing.
X button to close the chat panel
The in-call chat panel now includes an X button in the upper-right corner of the VidyoConnect screen that enables you to close it.
