Vidyo’s “State of the Art” Platform Chosen by Vedder Price Law Firm to Replace Its Legacy Video Conferencing System

Vidyo, Inc., the first company to deliver personal telepresence, today announced that Vedder Price, a law firm with headquarters in Chicago, has selected Vidyo’s communication and collaboration platform to “future-proof” video conferencing activities within the company. Vidyo was chosen to replace the firm’s legacy system which, according to the company, had become extremely limited in terms of flexibility and scalability. Vedder Price purchased and deployed the Vidyo system in October of 2010 after a thorough trial period in which they sampled Vidyo as a service to see if it would effectively satisfy the firm’s need to allow its lawyers and other staff to use the system for a variety of purposes between its three U.S. locations in Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C..

Vidyo Selected By Ontario Telemedicine Network to Expand Home Care and Telehealth Services Using Video Conferencing Solutions

Vidyo, Inc., the first company to deliver personal telepresence, today announced that one of the world’s largest telemedicine networks, the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN), will use the Vidyo platform to expand its current network and create a tele-home health network that will interoperate with its existing video conferencing network and extend the reach of its telehealth services into patient homes. Conveniently located in every hospital and hundreds of other health care locations across Ontario, more than 134,000 clinical consultations were conducted using telemedicine over the past year. OTN expects to roll out the Vidyo-based network to thousands more patients and providers throughout the province over the next three years.
