VidyoConferencing to Enhance Arkadin’s Collaborative Solutions by Providing New Ways to Work Together from Different Locations

Paris and Hackensack, NJ, November 16, 2010Arkadin, global provider of audio and web conferencing services, and Vidyo, Inc., the first company to deliver personal telepresence, today announced a multi-year global agreement in which Arkadin will distribute Vidyo’s award-winning desktop and room system-based video conferencing solutions in Europe, North America and Asia, in response to growing demand from Arkadin’s global customer base for high quality, easy-to-use video meeting solutions. VidyoConferencing from Arkadin is available today in France, Japan and the USA and will be rolled out globally in 2011.

“Video has been part of our comprehensive collaboration solution since 2001 but only now, almost nine years later, are we experiencing real customer demand for widespread access to personal telepresence,” said Olivier de Puymorin, founder and CEO of Arkadin. “For this reason, we are extending our video capability by partnering with Vidyo to complement our existing voice and web offerings.  This will enable our customers’ productivity by allowing them to work from anywhere with natural and smooth video and audio interactions – taking another critical step towards unified communications.”

Arkadin has built its market reputation by providing tested, remote collaboration services which are easy to implement and use. Over 3 million people each month use Arkadin Audio and Web Conferencing to meet remotely. Arkadin is part of a new collaborative workflow that drives efficiency and productivity by eliminating the constraints of location.

“As  one of the largest  global Conferencing Service Providers, Arkadin is a perfect partner for Vidyo, as we continue to expand  our international reach and shift the market toward innovative, next-generation solutions,” said Ofer Shapiro, CEO and co-founder of Vidyo.  “We are confident that Arkadin customers will immediately see the benefits of Vidyo products and technology which make optimal use of their existing devices and IP connections. Using a licensing model that removes the cost barrier and the burden of maintaining and upgrading systems, Vidyo’s SVC-based solution offers a level of quality, affordability and accessibility that no other videoconferencing solution can provide. “

Arkadin has already received an enthusiastic reaction from its customer base.  One such example is Mega International Corporation, a recognised specialist in enterprise architecture and governance. “Having used a static, room-based video conferencing system for several years, it was easy to see the value of the Arkadin-Vidyo offer,” said Gill Grevet, Senior Director of Mega International.  “As our teams experience how easy it is to use and how it enhances the collaborative experience, user adoption within the company has dramatically risen.
